Google Celebrates 10 Billion Apps Sold, Offers Premium Apps For 10 Cents [News]

What do you do when you reach a sales goal? You try to sell even more, of course – and the best way to do that is to give your customers some awesome deals.
That’s exactly what Google is offering in celebration of shifting 10 billion apps via its official Android Market. Keeping in theme with the goal they surpassed, Google is offering the “10 Billion Promo” in which they are slashing the price of 10 premium apps to 10 cents every day for 10 days.
These aren’t ho-hum apps, either. The first day of the promotion includes titles like Minecraft – Pocket Edition, SwiftKey X Keyboard, and Fieldrunners HD. A number of the apps available are Editors Choice recipients and only one has a rating below four stars.
New deals will be offered every day over the course of the promotion, but the future deals are unannounced by Google. This means you’ll have to revisit the market daily if you’d like to see what’s on sale. Keen eyes, however, will note that the graphic on the Android Market’s front page includes Tetris, Need for Speed: Shift, Fruit Ninja and a couple other apps not included as part of today’s deals.
