Mint.com Releases Newly Designed iOS 5 iPad App [News]

The online personal finance and budgeting site, Mint.com released this week the iPad version of its mobile application. The app not only includes features found in the iPhone version, but it is a completely redesigned user interface that allows users to track their financial accounts and transactions, and make changes to existing data.
Mint has over six million members who use the free service to track their bank, credit and debit cards, as well as other online financial personal accounts. Mint automatically downloads transactions and other data from your personal accounts and updates your prefigured personal budget.
Mint’s new iPad app, featured in iTunes’ App Store Starter Kit, allows you to view all of your accounts including checking, savings, credit cards, investments, and retirement. The app also itemizes all of your current and pending transactions for each of your financial accounts. You can apply a category to any uncategorized transaction, as well as add tags and notes for more detailed accounting purposes.
The app’s well designed interface breaks down your monthly spending into useful categories, and shows you how much you have spent over the last several months. It also shows your top spending categories, all your current transactions, and when and where your budget is in the red. Additionally, the app also allows you to manually add transactions – useful when you pay for items and services using cash, or when you need to temporarily keep track of your spending until Mint updates your account.
The new iPad upgrade is available for free download, and requires iOS 5.0 or later.
